Garnet hue with aromas of yeasty crusted baked bread, savory spices, dark berry, and espresso
Palate–Slightly off with a band-aid flavor sometimes characteristic of a taint called Brett short for *Brettanomyces, dark ripe berries, but I cannot get past the uck of band-aids.
*Brettanomyces is a (bad) yeast contaminant in wine. For certain wines it can be a characteristic of a decent wine in small quantities but if you have a sensitive palate it is nasty in any quantity. This wine is probably going down the drain but don’t write off the wine because of one bad bottle.
