Garnet hue with aromas of classic Sangiovese, cherry, forest floor, although a unique touch of menthol is in this one as well. Nice!
Palate–Lightly textured, lighter in body, bright cherry cream bonbon notes, rigid acidity, gentle cigar ash finish that is fleeting.
This is a tasty Chianti, with all of what you expect out of Classico. I found it for $10 but sold for $17 according to the tag. Wine Spectator give it 91 pts. and Jame Suckling (former WS pro for years gave it a 92. Seem to be generous scores to me but who am I to argue with them. At any rate–grab it, it’s a bargain and raise a glass!
