Garnet hue with aromas of big milky chocolate front bouquet but dissipates quickly. Cigar ash, with undertones of jammy blueberry and black berry and–wait for it–faint tomato juice with some cedary spice on the side of the sniff.
Palate–Silky texture, with classic Zin flavors of rich blackberry, and savory, rich dark berry fruit.
I paid $14 for the $28 single vineyard Zin which is a great price for a single vineyard Zinfandel. I will gab a lot more if I get the chance so raise a glass!
