Intense dark black cherry hue with aromas of big savory spices, lovely bonbon candies with cherry cream filling at the rim, with a very light touch of green olives, big dark berry “stuffy” fruit and the slightest touch of black pepper.
Palate–A bit tight at the moment but it hasn’t breathed but a few minutes; there is nice potential here. We’ll see what happens in a half hour or so. Opens nicely with an overall great presence.
This is a solid example of the varietal and at this price point ($14) it’s a great value so I would definitely raise a glass!
