Consistent garnet to the rim which is amazing for this 13 yo Grand Vin de Bordeaux.
Aromas of rich blackberry, with mints, cedar and eucalyptus, spicy cherry Twizzlers with an under layer of loam.
Palate–Integrated, flavors comprised of pretty much all the above in the bouquet with a nearly candy apple coating you find on candied apples.
I have had several of these over the past few years going back to 2012 as it was such a bargain. I paid $8 for this Grand vin de Bordeaux from the stellar 2005 vintage. This is the best it has been drinking yet and still looks to hold for another 2 years perhaps. But I would call this peak.
