Ruby hue with aromas of spicy ripe red raspberry and cigar ash.
Palate–Nice foundation with loads of zesty red berry with a mid-palate presence of really nice citrus on a structured, acidic foundation nicely balanced.
This review is sub-par due to my wife cooking a load of bacon in the kitchen and the outdoors (where I would normally retreat for a clean whiff) is filled with wood smoke from Maine autumn wood stoves doing their thing.
I love the structure of this economy Pinot from the folks who do economy version wines with class and good scores! I paid $11 for this and it is a “buy more” kind of wine so raise a glass and “Well done”–again– Castle Rock!
