This frequently reviewed wine has a beautiful garnet hue showing just a slight touch of its age with aromas of powdered cocoa, subdued cherry, with gentle savory spice.
Palate–First impression is relaxed like a hammock rest on s hot day. The cherries are still the main beam and the accompanying spices are subdued but present. Gentle finish is a package of all this wine has ever been.
I grabbed a bunch of these a few years ago as they were on a super sale for around $12 regularly around $25. It has been fun to see the evolution of this wine over several years. I have one bottle remaining which I may open in another couple years. Raise a glass to Chianti!
